    Ingredients

    • 1Cup


      Mochai

    • 1Cup


      SenaiCut into Small pieces

    • 2Piece


      garlic

    • 2Piece


      Sugar

    • 5Pieces


      OnionPreferably Small Onion

    • 1Small Ball


      Tamarind

    • 1Tbsp


      Sambar Powder



    • saltAs needed



    • CoconutOptional

    • 1Tbsp


      Cooking Oil

    • 1tsp


      Mustard

    Instructions
    1. In a kadai pour sesame oil (little more than regular ) splutter kadugu then add onion and garlic- fry till it becomes brown, then add tomato, mochai and senai.

    2. Fry nicely till it becomes soft and add sambar podi and fry ( This is to avoid raw smell) and then add tamarind water little thick than regular use.

    3. Add salt and allow it to boil for 10 Mins or till you get the Kozhambu Consistency. Now the Mochai/Senai Kara Kuzhambu is ready.

    Recipe Notes
    • Grind coconut smoothly and add with this kuzhambu and boil for just one minute and switch off the gas.
    • This will add more taste to the Karakuzhambu.
