Neer Dosa, A Popular dosa variety of karnataka and just that its as same as “Arisi Maavu Dosai” which needs fermenting and neer dosa can be done without fermentation ( Cook once the batter is created )

A Very healthy and safe  food for people who are suffering from Fever.

Side dish, Anything on earth will go with this from Pickle, Thogayal, Sambar to Thokku!

  • 1 cup Raw Rice
  • 2 Cups Boiled rice
  • 1 Cup Grated Coconut
  • 5 Cup Water
  • salt As needed

  • 2 Cups Boiled rice
  • 1 Cup Grated Coconut
  • 5 Cup Water

Instructions
  1. Wash and soak the Boiled rice + Raw rice for 3-4 hours.
  2. Mix the Soaked rice with Grated coconut and add Very very little of salt and grid it to a paste.Note : Add less salt as the batter takes less salt .
  3. Add minimum water while grinding so that the batter becomes a smooth paste and also make sure that there are not plumps and grits.
  4. To test the smoothness of the batter, just take the pinch of batter you will find the smoothness instantly.
  5. If you feel it needs more smoothness, add bit of water and grid again. Do this process till you smooth batter liquid.
  6. Once adding water, the consistency should be like butter milk and add water accordingly and salt if needed.Note : You have to be careful while adding salt, else you will get a Salty dosa.
  7. Head the pan and grease and start pouring the batter using a ladle.Note : Greasing have to be done for each dosa.
  8. You do not have to spread the batter as it will automatically spread by itself and cook for 30 secs.
  9. If needed put a pan cook for 30 secs more. Totally you can keep the dosa in flame for 1 minute in medium / low flame
  10. Make sure that you don't make the dosa brown. It should be white in colour.
  11. Make it as a Square or rectangle or triangle shaped dosa
  12. Serve Hot... Enjoy the food!
Recipe Notes
  • The consistency of batter is very important, adjust the consistency as needed.
  • grease the pan for each and every dosa.
  • Cook for 30 secs or max 1 minute in low flame
  • Do not flip the dosa

 

Notes :

  • Rice should be soaked well ( minimum of 3-4 Hours )
  • Make sure that you dont keep the dosa in pan for more than 1 minute!
